Position Title: ABA Tutor - Contingent General Summary: Participate in implementation of intervention techniques as outlined by curriculum and behavioral intervention plans under direct supervision of the CARE. Record accurate data regarding child’s acquisition of skills and other target behaviors; maintenance of generalization data for previously acquired skills; creation and maintenance of behavioral graphs; Treatment notes completed daily and reviewed with parents. Assists Clinical Manager during psychotherapy sessions by demonstrating behavioral procedures to parents, suggestions regarding curriculum and behavioral interventions, and assist with appropriate communication with parents. Assist in training of college practicum students (via modeling, as well as verbal and written feedback). Assist in the maintenance of curriculum materials (e.g., curriculum binder, data sheets, program specific stimuli, student specific materials etc.); additional maintenance activities necessary to ensure clean and safe treatment area for patients. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Ability to apply the principles of applied behavior analysis under direct supervision to teach developmentally appropriate skills and intervene on potentially difficult behaviors for young children with autism spectrum disorders. Ability to interact appropriately with young developmentally delayed children, their parents, staff and school personnel; to manage numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment; to receive and deliver feedback in a professional manner. Applicants should be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field with additional field experience highly preferred; basic knowledge of ABA and experience implementing ABA techniques highly preferred. Applicable college courses in conjunction with Autism practicum (or equivalent experience).
