The Manager of Fire Training Center will lead and manage planning, development and marketing of full and part Fire Academies and training services for agencies and industrial safety programs. Assure ongoing maintenance of the controlled live fire training system and related facilities and equipment.
EDUCATION: Associate Degree or equivalent education from an accredited institution is required. Possess State of Michigan certification as Fire Fighter Instructor from the Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council, Office of Fire Training.
PRELIMINARY QUALIFICATIONS: Five years job related trained experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Requires interpersonal skills, strong analytical and decision making skills. Must display creativity, self motivation and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Computer skills with Microsoft products helpful. Working knowledge of NFPA standards and OSHA & MIOSHA rules.
Duties require travel and contacts away from campus. May be assigned to any college location.
