WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Highway Engineer for our Detroit, Michigan office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Lead a Civil/Highway Design team;
*Leading projects with all aspects of design from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design;
*Coordinating with other design disciplines;
*Preparing plans, specifications and bid packages;
*Ensuring that production of reports, plans, and specifications meet scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements;
*Planning, scheduling, coordinating and overseeing the work of a team of engineers;
*Provide training and mentoring to junior engineers;
*Support projects by attending meetings and interacting with clients, agency officials, and contractors;

*Bachelor s degree in civil engineering or related field;
*Professional Engineering license in Michigan or the ability to obtain within 6 months;
*Minimum of 7 years of related post-graduate work in the civil engineering field;
*Understanding and familiarity with AASHTO and MDOT design guides and standards;
*Proficiency with Microstation and Geopak software;
*Experience with three dimensional modeling in Geopak.
Preferred Qualifications *Affiliation with professional societies and experience with Alternative Delivery projects;
*Proficient in Word, Excel and PDF-editing programs;
*Familiarity with Autocad and Civil3D;
*Authorization to immediately work in the United States;
