Manages operations, enhancements and day-today functionality of the Kronos scheduling, productivity and clinical labor budget applications.
Ensures DMC payroll policy is followed and provides weekly payroll interfaces to the Lawson payroll system in an accurate and timely manner.
Implements DMC Clinical Staffing vendor contracts, develops working relationships and provides reporting of external staffing utilization by DMC hospitals.
Educates and consults nursing clinical management on budgeting, interpretation of financial reports, and managing staff resources to volume.
Provides bi-weekly productivity reporting to clinical and senior management in a timely and accurate manner.
Establishes the skill mix and staffing ratios for all patient care units in the system in partnership with patient care services teams and senior patient care services leadership.
Assists designated management personnel with unit-specific budget development and compliance, recommending staffing adjustments as required.
Assists with the analysis of hospital operations for potential improvement opportunities.
Assists with the design and recommendation of processes, systems, procedures and operational changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Hires, trains, orients, evaluates and when necessary disciplines and recommends discharge of subordinate personnel.
Assigns and prioritizes projects of subordinates personnel.
Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to the philosophy and objective of continuous improvement, team work, the mission, vision and values of the DMC and adheres to the DMC Customer Service Standards.
Leads staff and ensures integrity and timeliness of reporting from financial systems.
Promotes corporate wide standardization of processes and policies.
Coordinates the development of reporting and participates in the review of generated financial reports and statements.
Ensures operational compliance with overall financial policies and objectives and participates in the development of department policies and procedures.
Maintains regular contact with internal and external agencies and customers to represent and discuss fiscal systems, activities, status, etc.

Recommends personnel actions, such as hires, fires and disciplinary actions.
Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, Joint Commission requirements and DMC policies.

Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration or related area or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Master s degree preferred. 2.
Five to seven years in hospital business finance or operations; including two to three years in a leadership role supervising financial and/or system analysts, and some prior experience in labor management and/or labor productivity (either as a consultant or within a health system).
