Under general direction, is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the regulatory accreditation, HIPAA security, compliance education and policy compliance functions within the DMC, its hospitals, clinics, personnel, and buildings.
Provides compliance direction for the licensure, credentialing, and certifying processes, programs and surveys throughout the DMC.
Serves as Board and Administrative Liaison between the DMC, its hospitals and clinics and governmental, quasi-governmental, accrediting, certifying and licensing agencies.
Provides compliance direction and approves the administrative, clinical, board, medical staff, financial and medical staff policies and procedures process.
Prepares and manages defense of the DMC, hospitals, and Board of Trustees against government and quasi-government agencies in cases of noncompliance.
Administers and interprets legal/law/regulatory acts as they pertain to the DMC Board, Hospitals, Departments and personnel into DMC Mission and Values, the DMCs and its entities By-Laws, Medical Staff By-Laws/Rules and Regulations, policies and procedures and other documentation as needed.
Oversees and negotiates all board of trustees, hospital and patient care investigational processes as related to governmental/quasi-governmental/private credentialing, licensing, and accrediting agencies.
Manages the student affiliation process between the DMC and Universities and Colleges.Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required. Masters degree in public health, health administration or related field or Juris Doctor, preferred.
2. Five years progressively more responsible related experience in a health care system or hospital with at least three years of direct involvement with senior management, physicians and outside entities regarding compliance or other impactful issues.
3. Experience in the use of personal computers.
