Controller in Dearborn, MI. Oversee financial operations of a medical practice. Prep fin stmt’s, reports, budgets & tax returns. Dev & maint fin controls and procedures for budget, cash mgmt and acctg. Manage GL, AP, payroll, employee benefits & liab ins matters. Ensure compl w/ GAAP. Ensure proper third-party payer reimb, assist w/ payer audits & appeals, resolve pymt disputes. Oversee external audits. Assist other dept’s on budgeting, fin policies & resource utilization. Superv 1-2 medical billing staff. Min. Req.: Master’s plus 3 yrs exp. or Bachelor’s plus 5 years of exp; Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Bus. Admin. or related field, or equivalent; Exp. as Accountant, Controller or related occupation; knowledge of GAAP; at least 2 yrs of related exp in healthcare industry.
