Economic Development Technician

Perform work pertaining to the economic development of the City of Warren as assigned by the Economic Development Director. Work with a variety of departments including Planning and Community Development to forward Warren’s development.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in General Business, Political Science, Economic Development, Sociology, Planning, Community Development, Public Policy/Administration or a closely related social science field from an accredited College or University.                                                                                                                            O Diploma or official, sealed transcripts REQUIRED with application

• At least one (1) year experience working in an economic development capacity.

• At least one (1) year experience using ArcGIS Pro G.I.S. technology in an economic development capacity.

• Completed MEDC Training Series in Redevelopment Ready Communities and Michigan Main Streets.
    o Proof of training REQUIRED with application

• Ability to pass typing exam at forty-five (45) net words per minute. typing test MUST be taken at time of application and can only be taken once.                                                                                                                   o Typing test MUST be taken at time of application and can only be taken once. 

• Driving Record must meet city’s standards for insurability

Pay rate: $57,732/year - $61,557/year (after 5 years)
